Nice Night

Had a nice night last night. Came home from work and fed the cats. Took a small nap. Made some supper. Watered the plants. Worked on putting together our bed. Watched the wrong cook get kicked off of Top Chef. Watched the Yankees lose the first game of the World Series. Nice night.

Obama Speaks at MIT

Soupy Sales

Today's sad news is that Soupy Sales passed yesterday at the age of 83.  Let us all contemplate taking a pie in the face in his honor.

Yup. That's what I do whenever I lose $27 billion - alter my expansion plans.

Summers Screws Up, Get Promotion

Harvard has finally admitted that they screwed up last year in a maneuver that was tantamount to taking the the grocery money and running to Foxwoods to play roulette with it and, in the process, not only lost 1.8 billion in cash but totally choked their cash flow. Result: Organizational chaos.

What's scary is not that this can happen to a place like Harvard (they'll recover - they always do) but the person at the helm when decisions to do something like this were being made is now effectively running our economy - Larry Summers.

Doesn't make me sleep any better at night - how about you?
