Here at the "World's Greatest University (just ask us)" the President has just announced that they will be spending $50 million on a "faculty development and diversity fund" that will support appointees who "contribute to diversity" and pay for mandatory instruction of graduate student Teaching Fellows on gender bias.
Please note that there will be no mandatory instruction of faculty in anything and they're the ones making the decisions about tenure. One wonders if the criteria for "contribution to diversity" will include those who don't think that Harvard is the next best thing to chunky peanut butter. I doubt it.
Well, all this goes to prove that your mother was right -- watch what you say in public; it could cost you (or the endowment) alot of money.
