Bye Petie

Word is that Pedro Martinez has agreed to a four year contract with the Mets. It's been a great run for us Sox fans, but I understand why the Red Sox management might not want to commit the mega-bucks for so long to someone with a questionable pitching shoulder who has spent major time on the Disabled List over the past few years.

The best thing is: 1) He didn't go to the Yankees, and 2) He's going to the National League.
